Rare and Unusual Freestanding Fossil Trilobite Akantharges mbareki. Devonian. Tinejdad. Morocco. A Must Have!

Restoration details: No reconstruction, all natural.

Presented is a very well prepared specimen from this rare and unusual species from Morocco. In fact, this is one of the rarest and difficult to get trilobites from Morocco. A very detailed specimen, with all typical details well shown and in a precious freestanding display. A not to be missed one in any good collection.

Tinejdad locality is now with problems and it was closed. The quarry is almost underneath a national road, so the exploitation is impossible. New specimens will be very very difficult to get on the next years.

Stay aware of online offers of "Akantharges from Jorf". There is no such thing as Akantharges from Jorf, it's a frequent seller's ignorance about Moroccan trilobites or a selling strategy (the word "Jorf" sells better). If it is from Jorf, it's not one Akantharges, if it is one Akantharges it is from Tinjedad, the only quarry where the species is present.
